I had the pleasure of working with Larry at the City of Snohomish. He shared his love of hiking, and spectacular and breathtaking pictures of some of his hikes. He was a wonderful person who never said an ill word against anyone, was very respected, and was dedicated to the City and deeply missed coworker when he chose to retire. We found he would walk to most of his jobsite inspections, instead of driving, striving to keep "his body ready" as he said. His death was a great shock to us at the City, as he had recently retired. His death is a great loss to those he encouraged and taught the art of enjoying nature at it's best, and is a great loss to us all as a friend and fellow coworker.
