When I first met Larry I knew he was an easy going fella. He was unassuming as he didnt know me, but gave me a chance. I found out later he was that way with everyone, he would take anyone on his trips and make them feel welcome and needed. When I would make a mistake he would not embarass me about it, "we're out here to have fun", he would say. And we did! My favorite trip with Larry was to Mt Chaval, one I will never forget. There was experienced scramblers and students both on that trip and we all had a great time. When we got back we felt like a family, and that's how Larry felt about us, as Family. As part of Larrys Family of friends he loved us as much as he loved the mountains. Larry you will alway be with us, because we love the mountains and we love you.
