I was a proffessioal colleague with Larry working in the arena of Public Works and transportation. At inter-agency meetings Larry was always a joy to have at the table when we were discussing and brainstorming transpotation issues. He engaged in the debate, introduced good ideas, always loyal to his employeer but balanced this with a theme of partnership with other agencies. We will miss him in the public service arena. After all these years working with him proffessionally I had a first time opportunity to see Larry in his playground last winter during an introductory snow shoe class that I took via the mountaineers. I could tell his smile and spirit were bigger on the mountain than when he was working his day job.
