In this simple DYI project, we make a custom rubber floor mat for the campervan to protect the floor from dirt, mud and snow.
With the amount of rain and snow we get here in the Pacific Northwest, protecting the floor of my camper van from dirt, mud and rain is a priority.
The mat is waterproof, fits between the sliding captain’s chair and its track and feels warm to the feet. It’s high friction surface also helps to keep stuff from sliding around on the floor, and dampens road noise while driving.
This is a pretty easy DYI project that only takes about 90 minutes to complete.
