My Favorite Road Trip Cooking Accessory

Hi all.

Today I’m writing about my favorite cooking accessory for car camping and van camping: my lunch box oven!

After a long drive, there’s nothing better than pulling into camp and having a delicious hot meal ready to eat!

I use the RoadPro brand lunch box oven, but other models are also available. Just be sure to get one rated for actual “cooking”, as in “cooking raw food”, not just rated for “heating” pre-cooked foods or leftovers.

Anyway, here is an introductory video to cooking in your lunchbox oven, followed by several of my favorite recipes, including lasagna, beef & potatoes, chicken & sweet potatoes, meatloaf (my favorite!) and ranch/bacon chicken (also pretty damn good!).
